Kirby Pople is a local artisan from Rockwall Texas.  Specializing in Arts and Crafts style furniture, Intarsia, and fine hand-turned writing instruments, Kirby has been handcrafting wood projects for over twenty years.

 

Each pen or pencil has been hand-turned with precision from wood, acrylic, or stone, and is truly unique.  These materials give the highest level of quality, feel and appearance that will make you proud to use it day in and day out.  They are finished with the most durable and longest-lasting finish possible to give you many years of service from your writing instrument.

 

Follow the usual protocols to keep any fine item clean and safe. Do not expose to extreme temperatures, and protect from UV light as it can fade the color and vibrancy. The refills for these pens can be purchased locally at any office supply store and are interchangeable with the name brands such as Cross, Parker, and Schmidt.

 

“I spend most of my shop time trying to get it right. I do not mass produce pens, but rather craft writing instruments. In particular, I focus on fit and feel, looking for comfort, style, and beauty that is buried deep in the materials. My favorite part of crafting a pen is applying that final gloss to the surface whether it be a wax finish or jewelers polish on a buffer. That is when the project really comes to life.
